Prix Ars Electronica Collide@CERN features at Art Basel Hong Kong, 17-21 May

Julius von Bismarck, the first winner of the Prix Ars Electronica Collide@CERN artists residency award, is one of the key artists featured in the sponsoring publication of the prestigious Art Basel Hong Kong.

Ariane Koek, the founder of Collide@CERN and CERN's cultural specialist, was commissioned to curate and write the colour feature on Arts and Energy.

The article explored the notion of energy in art in all its manifestations - emotion, the body, science, phenomena - by choosing 10 key artists of the 21st century at different stages of their career. The feature is published in the latest edition of China's most influential lifestyle magazine, Modern Weekly, which has a circulation close to 750,000. It reaches China’s elite readers with the latest internationals news, trends, phenomena and discussions in the fields of style and culture. All this goes to proove how the arts take CERN to the hearts and parts which science alone cant reach and how the Collide@CERN programme is attracting interest at the highest level in the arts world.
