How do artists and scientists engage in dialogue? What are the major challenges?
The book Dialogues avec les physiciens tells the story behind Horizons Irrésolus – a sound installation by musician Vincent Hänni and sound artist Rudy Decelière produced in collaboration with cosmologist Diego Blas and physicist Robert Kieffer following their residency at CERN in 2014.
Developed over nearly two years, the installation consists of a network made up of 888 micro synthesizers and speakers, which create a global, variable and autonomous sound devoid of centralized control.

In the publication, co-producer Julie Henoch dives into their collaborative process, and Vincent Hänni interviews both scientists. It also contains a link to download Vincent Hänni’s compositions from his musical research, photographs by Rudy Decelière, and a glossary compiled by science writer Hillary Sanctuary.
