The TRANSMEET Science and Art Festival is launching its first and international online edition.
The TRANSMEET Science and Art Festival is launching its first and international online edition. In Arts at CERN, where Art and Physics meet, Mónica Bello, will be exploring with physicist Diego Blas and choreographer and winner of Accelerate Taiwan Su Wen-Chi how artists working alongside scientists are encouraged to seek the limits of thinking in relation to the big questions of contemporary science.
TRANSMEET Festival will feature performances, live scientific experiments and talks with scientific institutions that have nurtured novel models of dialog and cooperation between scientists and artists. Today it is obvious that scientific engagement with cultural practices acts as an important driver for novel scenarios for knowledge exchange. At CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research in Geneva, physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe. Since 2011 artists are welcomed to CERN as part of a strategy to open the lab to society and to invite creators to explore the challenges of imagining our world through other perspectives.
In Arts at CERN, where Art and Physics meet, Mónica Bello, will be exploring how artists working alongside scientists are encouraged to seek the limits of thinking in relation to the big questions of contemporary science. In conversation with physicist Diego Blas and choreographer and winner of Accelerate Taiwan Su Wen-Chi , they will discuss the conditions and the implications of artists working in this unique and complex research environment, as well as the forms of creation take place in a highly specialized environment. The panel discussion will be followed by Q&A with the audience.
